The GOLD Standard
GOLD is nothing more than another currency in eRepublik.com. Like all other currencies, it appreciates and depreciates in value on a daily basis. Due to the Bank of Commerce's mission to be an international financial institution it was decided before the opening that only one type of currency would be accepted for all transactions: GOLD. This was the beginning of the GOLD Standard.
Due to our policy of only accepting the GOLD Standard we cannot accept deposits or requests which involve other currencies. Any non-GOLD currencies will be converted for GOLD at market value at the time of the donation. This is not recommended due to the fact that the "Selling X Currency for GOLD" side of the Monetary Market tends to be uneven with the other, typically more cheap, "Selling GOLD for X Currency" side.
To prevent headaches and promote universal standardization, please only submit GOLD.
